New League Sponsor

From 1st August 2011 until the end of our 2012 season, we are pleased to announce that local brewers Adnams of Southwold will be our league sponsors and as such the league will now be re-titled the ''Adnams Coastal Petanque League''

Ipswich North Sea Trophy 2011 - Results

Last Saturday we welcomed KYCN Nieuwpoort of Belgium to Ipswich Marina Waterfront and competed in an international challenge match between their club and our own Suffolk Coastal Petanque League.

In great weather, the League ran out winners by 20 games to 3 (with 1 drawn game, as matches were played to a time limit). There were 3 unbeaten English pairs on the day, out of a team of 20 pairs, playing against 6 Belgian pairs.

Gold and silver medals were presented to all competitors and the evening concluded with our visitors extending an invite for us to make the return journey to Belgium in 2012.

We wish to thank our Community Event Grant Funders, University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich Haven Marina for their support and help in getting the event sorted and to all our Event Partners (who provided appropriate sponsorship).
